School of Mechanical Engineering has organised a one week training program on "Enhancing 3D Competencies of Medical Scholars" during 29th November to 03 December, 2021 at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune.
The training program was inaugurated on 29th November, 2021. Dr. Sameer Joshi, Deputy Dean, BJ Medical College, Pune and Mr. Hemant Gadgil, Executive Director, Dassault Systemes Fondation, India were the Chief Guests for this inaugural function.
Head of the School and Principal Investigator of the Program Prof. Dr. Ganesh M. Kakandikar welcomed the guests with great pleasure and offered a token of love. Associate Heads of School, Prof. Dr. Deepak P. Hujare and Prof. Dr. Kundlik V. Mali along with trainer faculty members of the School were also present for the program.
The Medical students in the final year of MBBS/BDS are being trained on 3D Technologies such as 3D Solid Modelling, 3D Scanning, 3D Printing, Biomaterials and Finite Element Analysis for medical applications. The training program has a total of 20 sessions for 40 hours.
This training program is supported and funded by La Fondation Dassault Systèmes. The organisers will conduct 04 batches in a year and this is the Second Batch of the program. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Hemant Gadgil Sir of Dassault Systemes for his constant Guidance and Support. We are looking forward to making this program a grand success.
