Introduction

The UG programs in Mechanical engineering are 4 year full-time study Programs with Twelve Trimesters and 180+ Credits. At MIT-WPU, emphasis is given on providing appropriate skills to meet the ever-changing needs of Mechanical and Allied industries at both national and international levels. This Degree allows students to pursue career opportunities across segments such as- Automobile and Allied Industries, Energy and Power Generation, Manufacturing and Process industries, Aerospace and Space Research organizations, Research and Development, Robotics and Automation, Railways and Ordinance factories to mention a few. Our program also offers five tracks of specialization which lead to careers in cutting-edge technologies like Design and Simulation, Energy, Automotive Engineering, Robotics and Automation, and Materials. MIT-WPU UG Programs also includes teachings of philosophy and peace in its curriculum. The programs ensure an overall development of students through social internship, national and international certification and study tours moulding students into winning personalities.

Introduction

The School of Mechanical Engineering offers very focused and specialized master's programs (M. Tech.). School offers Two Year Full-Time Postgraduate Programmes in three different disciplines namely Design Engineering, Thermal Engineering, and CAD/CAM/CAE with core courses, electives, seminars, peace-related courses along industry/ research internship. Highly expertise faculties of school work on various research areas viz. Design Engineering, Composite Materials, Tribology, Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, Metal Forming/Micro Forming, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Biomechanics, Cryogenic Applications, Heat Pipe Applications, HVAC Applications and many more. The school has established two centers of excellence in association with TATA Technologies which facilitates students to get hands-on training in line with Industry 4.0. The students can either take up a full-time research project or Industry project or a combination of these for a final year.

Introduction

With an objective of achieving high standards of research that result in quality contribution to the knowledge base of the Mechanical Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering renders the best of technical expertise coupled with research competence. ach Ph.D. student shall be required to undertake course work for a minimum period of one semester. The course work shall be shall be offered with credit system and shall be treated as pre- Ph.D. preparation. The total credit requirement for entire course work shall be 20 credits. Students are required to earn these 20 credits in maximum three semesters.
